Getting a firsthand look at science is often the key that ignites an interest – whether it’s a community leader taking his or her first peek over a scientist’s shoulder or a young researcher taking part in a seminar. At SBRI, we offer many events each month that are designed to introduce people to our work or provide educational opportunities to further a scientist’s career path.
SBRI is a member of the
Puget Sound Partners for Global Health, a collaboration of Seattle area
researchers, healthcare professionals, students and non-governmental
organizations committed to improving global health. The PSPGH links the
Seattle global health community by sharing information; funding international
training, education and research opportunities; and holding events focused on
global health. The PSPGH's Fourth Annual Poster Session on Monday,
November 20th, 2006 showcased collaborative work in the Puget Sound region.
Over 30 student and research faculty grant recipients were honored by the 150
attendees the event, held in SBRI's Discovery Room. Dr. Tadataka (Tachi)
Yamada delivered the keynote address. His remarks are available here (MP3
